Today both teams started off their Premier League campaign. The game was held at Gtech Community Stadium, the home ground of Brentford. The match was fascinating for the fact that this was the first match without Harry Kane.
Both teams really wanted the 3 points, but in the end, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
It was Christian Romero who converted a corner kick in the 11th minute. Immediately after the goal he was taken off, in suspicion of a head injury. In the 25th minute, Sonny managed to foul Jensen in their penalty box giving away a penalty which Mbuemo easily converted into a goal. 10 minutes later, Wisa managed to score the second goal for the Bees. At the end of the first half, Emerson Royal also scored.
In the first half, Brentford looked very good, not excellent, just good. They got a lot of chances more than Hotspur. But in the second half, something really changed, the Brentford players really started looking tired. Tottenham pounced. Tottenham was breathing down the neck of Brentford's defenders. At the end they were not able to score even after the ton of chances and handful of attacks from Brentford.
